China NEVolution: A Guide for the Future, Sep 4

JIAXING, China – September 4, 2025 – The China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC) and its Mechanical Engineering Working Group (MEWG) hosted a pivotal roundtable discussion in collaboration with UFI Green Technologies. The event brought together representatives from leading New Energy Vehicle (NEV) companies, along with over 40 industry leaders, experts, and professionals. Centered on the theme "China NEVolution: A Guide for the Future," the gathering facilitated in-depth discussions on the rapid evolution and future trajectory of China's NEV market, with participants exchanging insights on technological innovations, market opportunities, and collaborative prospects in the sector.

 

 

Among those in attendance were CICC Board Member Emilio Cassanelli and Francesca Bonesi, Program Management Director of UFI FILTERS and Vice Coordinator of the Mechanical Engineering Working Group, who both delivered opening remarks.

 

 

Simone Trazzi, CEO APAC and India of UFI Group, presented the company's latest developments. Founded in 1971, the UFI Group has become a leading global provider of filtration solutions and thermal management technologies, employing over 4,300 people and 19 countries.

 

 

After outlining UFI's global presence, Mr. Trazzi detailed the company's expansion in China, which began in the early 1990s. In 2024, UFI's new Jiaxing factory, UFI Green Technologies, commenced operations, marking a significant milestone in the Group's commitment to sustainable mobility and technological innovation. The facility specializes in producing cutting-edge heat exchangers, key components for NEV thermal management systems.

 

 

During the roundtable session, representatives from leading NEV companies engaged in in-depth discussions on market trends, technological advancements, and future collaboration opportunities.

Following the discussions, UFI Green Technologies hosted a networking coffee break. In the afternoon, participants toured the newly inaugurated manufacturing plant, observing advanced production processes for heat exchangers and carbon capture technologies.

 

 

The CICC delegation subsequently engaged in further exchanges with local industry stakeholders in Jiaxing, exploring potential synergies between Italian and Chinese enterprises in the NEV sector.
