CICC Joins 2025 World Conference on Clean Energy Equipment

17 Settembre 2025

On September 16th and 17th, the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC), represented by the Vice-President Massimo Bagnasco, joined into a two-days event relatived to the 2025 World Conference on Clean Enery Equipment (WCCEE) in Deyang. Organized by the China Machinery Industry Federation (CMIF), the event fostered dialogue on low-carbon development and promoted international cooperation in the clean energy equipment sector.

On the afternoon of September 16th (the first day), VP Bagnasco served as a keynote speaker at the International Cooperation Roundtable on Clean Energy Equipment, which focused on green energy and future development. In his speech, he briefly introduced the CICC: the organization officially recognized by the Italian and Chinese authorities, founded in 1991, with offices in 9 cities and over 700 members. The CICC also leads Phase V of the EU SME Centre to support European SMEs in entering and developing in China.

He then turned to low-carbon production and the circular economy, highlighting Italy’s practices and strengths: zero-carbon factories using Industry 4.0 (e.g., Enel’s renewable-powered clean energy component production), green supply chains (such as green hydrogen pilot projects in the steel sector), and over 80% industrial waste recycling (including solutions for wind turbine blades and PV modules). He also outlined pathways toward zero-carbon factories and sustainable supply chains, noted the challenges EU SMEs face in China (including regulatory complexity, IP protection, and financial issues) and the support provided by the CICC, and proposed Sino-Italian cooperation on a number of zero-carbon initiatives.

On the morning of September 17th, the CICC, represented by VP Bagnasco, attended the Opening Ceremony and Main Forum of the 2025 WCCEE. The ceremony was presided over by Deyang city leaders, with remarks from several VIP guests, including Mr. Chen Shuping, Vice Governor of Sichuan Province, who together outlined the future vision for the global clean energy equipment industry. The ceremony also gathered business leaders and academic experts from China, Italy, and other countries to align on global green energy transition goals.

During the forum, several significant industry-leading achievements were unveiled. The event also featured a signing ceremony for major cooperation projects and included keynote speeches by academicians and international executives, addressing critical topics such as hydrogen storage and transportation, smart grids, and the global energy transition.
