The China – Italy Chamber of Commerce is glad to inform that the FACTORY TOUR at Bonfiglioli Drives (Shanghai) Co., Ltd, was successfully held on May 20th, 2019.
The Factory Tour began with a brief presentation and introduction of the Mechanical Engineering Working Group (MEWG), provided by Mr. Antonio Farese, MEWG Coordinator.
He welcomed all the 30 participants, representatives from different companies operating in the manufacturing industry and talked about the current situation of the mechanical sector in China.
Mr. Antonio Farese invited Mr. Michele Cecchi, Consul General of Italy in Shanghai, on the stage. He described the strong interest that Italy has shown towards China, demonstrated by the frequent diplomatic missions to China made by Italian official representatives. Addressing the MEWG, he underlined the importance of encouraging a greater coalition and the creation of the Academy of Mechanics in China.
The following speaker, Mr. Massimiliano Tremiterra, Trade Commissioner of the Italian Trade Agency in Shanghai, talked about promotional activities carried out by ITA - ICE for the year 2019 and 2020 and mentioned the interest of ITA to support the mechanical sector.
Their speeches were followed by a visit to the factory, during which Mr. Paolo Bazzoni, Board of Directors at Bonfiglioli Drives (Shanghai) Co. Ltd, showed and explained to the participants the advanced technologies used by his company. With more than 60 years of experience and a team of more than 3,700 professionals around the world, Bonfiglioli designs, produces and distributes a full range of gearmotors, drive systems, planetary gearboxes and inverters for the industrial automation, mobile machinery and renewable energy sectors.
Then the Tour was closed by the Q&A section, in which the participants had the possibility to exchange their experiences and mingle of ideas, information and suggestion about how to improve the mutual business.
