Post-Event: Torino and Piemonte meet China (Turin and Piedmont meet China) - Beijing, 9th March 2018

Dear Members and Friends,

Representatives of Italian institutions in China, Piedmont region and their Chinese counterparts gathered on March 9th for the conference “Torino and Piemonte Meet China” (Turin and Piedmont meet China).

The event, supported by the Italian Embassy to the P.R.C., Piedmont Region, Italian Institute of Culture, ITA – Italian Trade Agency and Politecnico of Turin, aimed at promoting Piedmont region and its outdoor winter activities, focusing attention on joined investments of Italian Ski Resort Sestrieres Spa, Vialattea and Cuiyunshan Galaxy Resort in Hebei province.

Particular attention was given to the 2022 Beijing Winter Games, previously organized by Turin in 2006.

The event, organized by DMO Piemonte Marketing, Turismo Torino e Provincia, China-Italy Chamber of Commerce and ENIT in cooperation with Vialattea, Bardonecchia Italian Embassy School in Beijing, I Love Italian Wines, Cuiyunshan Galaxy Ski resort and AGIC, took place at the Italian Institute of Culture hosting 150 guests, opened with  speech from the Italian Ambassador to the People's Republic of China, Ettore F. Sequi.

Following up a video message from Piedmont Tourism Councillor, Mrs. Parigi and an introduction by Mr. Capra, VP Unione Montana Comuni Olimpici Via Lattea, the audience attended speeches by:

Following the conference, guests gathered to network and enjoy Piemonte food delicacies before transferring to Chongli Galaxy Resort.

Follwing the conference, guests transferred to Chongli where they enjoyed a full day of skiing activities at Cuiyunshan Galaxy Ski Resort.
