Workplace Safety Regulation Seminar - Post Event

Workplace Safety has always been an important aspect in manufacturing businesses, therefore, the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce, with the support of the Consulate General of Italy in Shanghai, and in cooperation with DUSA, has organized a Workplace Safety Regulation Seminar in Suzhou, on June, 25th. Many thanks to the great support of the Suzhou Administration of Work Safety and the Suzhou Foreign Affairs Office.

 

The seminar aimed to help the participants to gain more knowledge of workplace safety, such as the new Safety Law, the Local Government Safety Procedures, and the Safety Production Standardization Certificate.

The seminar was opened by a welcome speech by CICC and an introductory speech by the Chairman of DUSA, Mr. Lothar Grad.
Mr. Wang Jing, Vice Director of Suzhou Administration of Work Safety, presented an overview of the Bureau as well as presented the new amendments to the New Safety Law. He focused on the new safety standards and requirements, the local government safety procedures, and the safety production standardization certificate.


 

Thereafter, Consulting Companies gave their presentations. Chiara Polesel, from Gateway Legal & Business Advisers, focused on the New Safety Law, legal liabilities and practical solutions and recommendations for companies and employees. Then, two consulting companies based in Suzhou offered their presentations which were focused on safety production standardization certificate, benefits, requirements and support for companies.

 

 

Overall, the seminar was informative and successful, and we would like to express our gratitude to our special guests: Vice Director of Suzhou Administration of Work Safety - Wang Jing, Division Chief of the Second Supervision Division of Suzhou Administration of Work Safety - Liu Weiqun, Deputy Division Chief of Suzhou’s Foreign Affair Office - Tao Yuguang, Shi Yuchao and Tang Zhonghua from the Suzhou Foreign Affair Office.
