RUNNING AN ONLINE SHOP IN CHINA:

Despite the opportunities that the fast growth of e-commerce presents to Foreign SME’s to access or expand their operations in China Market, there is still a lack of understanding concerning the establishment, development and maintenance of an online business. In this context, the set-up of an e-commerce platform should be tailor-made to attract online shoppers’ appeal, without overlooking China`s online legal and tax framework. A real case will be used to simulate this journey, from the ideas conception to the execution, as well as the daily operations of running an online shop. This seminar and networking event aims at showcasing the tools that a company needs to successfully run an online business. During the seminar more than 20 questions will be presented and covered, such as: • Are my products or services suitable for online business? • What are the steps to take in order to open an online store? • Can I open and run an online shop if I only have a representative company? • What kind of web designs do Chinese customers like? • How do I promote online? • How does it work with invoicing? • Where should I store my stock? • How do I handle online transactions and what payment options do I have? • Will my company be facing double taxation? Experts Marius Rossell - CEO of TLG COMMERCE LIMITED Mr. Marius Rossell is the founder and CEO of the company TLG COMMECE LIMITED, pioneering in the European market for e-commerce solutions, with over 14 years of history. Since 2011 he resides in Beijing where has promoted the internationalization of the company in China and Hong Kong and has become the first European e-Commerce company to settle in China. Rossell has been invited as a speaker at various conferences and lectures on topics related to electronic commerce and business creation in the virtual world organized by various organizations such as EU SME Centre in China, EMOTA (European e-Commerce Association) and University of Barcelona among others. Ruggero Fondi - Partner of P&P China Mr. Ruggero Fondi joined P&P Hong Kong in 2010. Beijing, 28th November 2014, 9.30 - Auditorium, The Embassy of Italy to the People`s Republic of China.   ISTUD, in partnership with the Chinese University of Tsinghua, one of the most prestigious in the far East, positioned as first among international rankings – and in collaboration with the Italian Embassy and The China Italy Chamber of Commerce, organizes the next 28th of November at the Italian Embassy in Beijing the meeting “Making it Happen”, dedicated to Italian enterprises operating in the Asian country. The main topic in this debate is about the key competences to win, in a complex, different and perpetual transformation trade market in China. The goal of this meeting is to show the alliance between two prestigious Educational Institutions that, combining the industrial and managerial Italian culture with the language and the behaviour schemes of the Chinese, is proposing an offer of training and develop willing to help our enterprises operate in the middle earth to evolve their role, to enrich their competences and to grow their businesses.
