Interchamber Breakfast Seminar - 2016 China Economic Outlook: Risks and Opportunities

The China-Italy Chamber of Commerce, in cooperation with the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in China, the German Chamber of Commerce in China, and the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in China, thanks to the partnership with Coface, organizes the following breakfast seminar: Interchamber Breakfast Seminar - 2016 China Economic Outlook: Risks and Opportunities Slower growth, rising non-performing loans, RMB and Stock market volatility are all concerns for China in 2016.  The annual survey on corporate credit risk management conducted by Coface, to which 1,000 Chinese companies responded, reveals that corporate payments continued to deteriorate in 2015, with 8 out of 10 corporates experiencing overdue payments. In addition to the unsolved issues of high leverage and over capacity in many sectors, downwards pressure on the RMB and stock market volatility are concerns for the Chinese market in 2016. It is not expected that non-payments will improve in the short term. Join us for this interchamber breakfast talk, Mr. Sam Cheng will give a better understanding of China-based companies' payment experiences and their credit management practices during the seminar according to the 2015 Coface survey. Speaker: Mr. Sam Cheng, Risk Team Manager, Coface China. Mr. Sam Cheng has more than 10 years’ experience in credit insurance and risk management. He joined Coface in 2011. Leading his team of risk department of Coface China, he is responsible for conducting credit research and analysis on trade credit risk of Chinese companies and controlling corporate credit risk according to the changing economic situation and constantly monitor of the industry risk. The event will take place on Thursday, April 21st 2016 from 08:00am to 10:00am. Considering different eating habits of participants from each chamber, we also propose a more abundant Breakfast (including sweet and salty, coffee, tea and jus).

Learn Business Chinese! (Hutong School Beijing)

The Hutong School has been organising a workshop for professionals to learn Business Chinese. This entails learning the main vocabulary for doing business in China, the most important aspects of culture and etiquette and other factors that can have an impact on the success rate of business endeavours here in China.  The workshops will be held in Hutong Schools in Beijing and Shanghai over two weeknights. There will be a workshop for beginners and one for intermediary Mandarin speakers.  Click here to see the invitation.
