The Sport and Tourism Working Group – STWG, under the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC) umbrella, has been established in 2020 merging the Sport Working Group (SWG) and the Italy China Travel Club (ICTC).

This Working Group includes all the companies operating in the sport and tourism sectors, such as the design and engineering studio, sport equipment manufacturers, sport facilities developers, sport-related services companies, operators and promotion agencies, accommodations and service providers and cooperates with Italian private and public tourism sector both in Italy and in China.

The aim is promoting the know-how and the quality of Italian sport companies and products in China and promoting Italy as a travel destination to the Chinese audience.

The initiative to create a network of companies operating in both the sport and tourism sectors came to maximize business opportunities, mutual knowledge, but also partnerships and exchanges around the 2022 Winter Olympic Games.

Composed both by Italian and Chinese professionals, the group interface with both worlds and aims to support companies in finding the right visibility and partners matching their own business profile.


What we do


The STWG being a Working Group of the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce and supported by the Italian Embassy, is the right spokesperson for addressing institutions concerning systemic and operative issues that the professionals may face, as well as opportunities in the Sport and Tourism sectors and sino-italian system, representing an important point of reference in order to interface the market with institutional support and to analyze and resolve operational or substantial issues.

Its mission is to promote and encourage the development of Italian sport and travel industries in China through organizing events, workshops, seminars, trainings and webinars. The STWG has actively participated and organized multiple events in the past years and it plans to be even more active in 2021.




  • January 2018 - Official Inauguration 2018 Eu-China Tourism Year in Venice (Vice Coordinator participation).
  • Silk Road International Cultural Project Cooperation Promotion (in Dunhuang, 2018) ICTC provides contents for the Italian stand during the fair and members free participation, speech by Vice-Coordinator addressing the VIP guests.
  • March 9th, 2018 - PIEMONTE & VIA LATTEA (in Beijing and Chongli) upon the Sport Working Group (SWG) initiative, ICTC participates to the promotional event joining with its contacts in the tourism industry - Post event.
  • March 2018 - "Turin and Piedmont meet China", event supported by the Italian Embassy to the P.R.C., Piedmont Region, Italian Institute of Culture, ITA – Italian Trade Agency and Politecnico of Turin, aimed at promoting Piedmont region and its outdoor winter activities.
  • July 2018 - Campionati del Mondo WUXI2018
  • September 3rd, 2018 - introduction to the Chinese Tourism Market in Beijing, Delegation of Tour Operators from Sicily Region - Post Event.
  • November 2018 – EU-China Tourism Year on Promotion through CINEMA (Coordinator participation).
  • November 2018 – Seminar, Seminario “Vivere lo Sport all’italiana”.
  • December 2018 – Yanqi Lake Retreat 2018. Coordinator as panelist for Tourism, at the presence of Prof. Geraci, Undersecretary of the Italian Ministry of Economic Development.
  • January 2019 - Italy and Anhui China culture & tourism promotion, ICTC in collaboration with the Department of Culture and Tourism of Anhui Province - Event.
  • Notte Italiana 2019, Beijing – Post Event
  • “Mountain Lifestyle, Italy: A Dream Country for Mountain Lovers”  29th October 2020 Solo X, Shanghai – Post Event
