Jiaxing Nanhu Business Trip and Company Visit

On November 3rd, 2025, the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC) partnered with the Jiaxing Nanhu District Government to host a networking event for Italian and international industry leaders. The event showcased Nanhu District, one of the Yangtze River Delta's most dynamic industrial hubs. As one of China's top 100 industrial and innovation districts, Nanhu is actively seeking global partners, a commitment demonstrated by the successful expansion of Italian companies within its jurisdiction.

The event began with welcome addresses from Lorenzo Riccardi, Chairman of the CICC, and Chen Qunwei, Secretary of the Nanhu District Party Committee. Chairman Riccardi highlighted Italian foreign direct investments across sectors such as mechanics, food, lifestyle, pharmaceuticals, and advanced manufacturing. Mr. Chen emphasized Nanhu's commitment to fostering a supportive environment for international businesses, portraying the district as a "home for enterprises" supported by a robust industrial ecosystem.

CICC and local authorities promoted a direct channel for dialogue between enterprises and the industrial park and Nanhu district authorities. This was formalized with the launch of a dedicated consultation desk, facilitated by local authorities, to provide Italian companies with direct access to information on investment procedures and incentives. This initiative is designed to streamline the process for businesses exploring opportunities in the region.

The enterprise sharing session featured valuable insights from industry representatives, including:

• Rosanna Terminio, Owner & Executive Strategy Consultant of Asecorp China, who discussed the practical aspects of establishing and growing a business in China, drawing from her experience supporting Italian companies with market entry and expansion.
• Xinying Tao, Global Business Manager of Galaxis Technology, presented the company's expertise in intelligent intralogistics robotics and its rapid global growth, with overseas revenues increasing by over 100% in the past year.

The afternoon featured immersive visits to three leading industrial enterprises. The delegation first visited CHINT Electric, a global leader in smart energy solutions, where delegates observed advanced manufacturing processes and new product demonstrations, including innovative transformers that reduce electricity consumption by 20%.

At Galaxis Technology, specialists in intelligent logistics robotics, participants witnessed operational demonstrations of automated guided vehicles and smart shuttle systems. The company showcased their expanding global network and collaborations with major technology firms, highlighting their advanced semiconductor logistics solutions.

The final visit was to Zilmet, an Italian multinational specializing in expansion vessels and heat exchangers, which showcased its successful strategies for Asian market expansion. The company also presented its roadmap to full automation and its capacity to produce over 8 million units annually for diverse market segments.
