Company visit at Deutz-Fahr Machinery China, Linyi, 26.06

On June 26, 2025, the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC) and its Mechanical Engineering Working Group (MEWG) hosted the Company Visit at Deutz-Fahr Machinery China (SDF Group) and Roundtable Discussion on the Future of Agriculture Mechanization in China. The event took place in the Linshu, Shandong Province, and brought around 40 participants among industry leaders, experts, and professionals to explore the latest advancements and future trends in smart agricultural manufacturing.

 

 

The event kicked off with opening remarks from Andrea Croci, CICC Vice President North China, Francesco Innocenti, CICC Board Member North China, Hou Suyun, Linshu Mayor, Federico Gaiazzi, CEO, Deutz-Fahr Machinery China, who emphasized the importance of collaboration and innovation in the agricultural machinery sector.

 

Zhang Huaguang, Director of Information Department, China Agricultural Machinery Distribution Association (CAMDA), delivered an in-depth analysis of the current state and future trends of the agricultural machinery market providing valuable insights into the evolving demands and opportunities within the sector. He emphasized that the future of agricultural machinery will be heavily influenced by technological advancements, including the integration of AI, automation, and smart technologies.

Francesca Bonesi, Vice-Coordinator of CICC Mechanical Engineering Working Group and APAC & India Project Manager Director, UFI Filters, introduced the working group and its commitment to promoting Italian technology and fostering business opportunities in the Chinese market.

 

Following, a panel of experts engaged in a roundtable discussion on the future of agriculture mechanization. The discussion covered a range of topics, including the role of automation, energy transition, and smart technologies in sustainable farming. The panelists shared their perspectives on the challenges and opportunities ahead, highlighting the importance of innovation and collaboration in driving the sector forward.

Participants had the opportunity to tour the state-of-the-art facilities of DFM China, witnessing firsthand the latest advancements in smart agricultural manufacturing. The tour showcased the company's commitment to innovation and quality, providing valuable insights into the production processes and technologies that power their products.

 

 

The visit continued with a tour of the China Willow Weaving Cultural Art Museum and Changlin Group, offering a glimpse into the rich cultural and industrial heritage of the region and highlighting the diverse opportunities for collaboration and development in the area.

The day concluded with a networking dinner at the Linyi Pullman Hotel providing a setting for continued dialogue and connection-building.
