Since 2016, he is the Counsellor for Science and Technology at the Consulate General of Italy in Shanghai. In 2011-2015 he is endorsed by the EU Commission as co-Director of the Europe-China Clean Energy Centre, based in Beijing at the Tsinghua University. In this role, he drafts the EU-China Energy Cooperation Roadmap 2020. Since 1990s he develops in Europe research and demonstration projects on renewable energies and sustainable urbanization. He is the scientific responsible and coordinator of many multi-partners european projects on zero-energy settlements supported by the European Commission, Directorate General for Energy. He is among the first in developing Sustainable Energy Action Plans at the city level in Europe. He is the initiator of the Smart City platform for the city of Torino; Coordinator of the Smart Cities working group of Kyoto Club; Member of the Steering Group Italy of the World Green Building Council.   Xiaoying Liu, Director of Natureherit DC, Spatial planning consultant Xiaoying Liu graduated from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Germany and worked for a spatial planning-design office Kuiper Compagnons in The Netherlands and China. She founded Natureherit Design & Consult (Natureherit DC) in 2013, an eco innovation SME specialized in cross-cutting spatial planning, capacity building and multi-actor exchanges to revive Nature-Heritage-based climate actions and green-circular economy. After presenting at a UN FAO conference in 2019, she started the testing of Knowledge@Terra Classrooms (K@T) on the EU development cooperation network platform (Capacity4Dev) - to support multi-actor exchanges on green transition and carbon neutrality pathways between regions, in cooperation with international and regional partners. She has been an expert of the Sino-EU Panel on Land & Soils and EU Horizon innovation project evaluations.   Dear Members and Friends, In the framework of VI Edition of the "Settimana della Cucina Italiana nel Mondo/Week of Italian Cuisine in the World”, the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC), in collaboration with the Consulate General of Italy in Shanghai, the Italian Trade Agency (ITA-ICE) and the Italian National Tourist Board (ENIT), kindly invites you to take part in a special Monthly Dinner celebrating the idea of aesthetics that perfectly combines with product quality in the concept of "Tradition and Prospects of Italian Cuisine: Understanding and Optimizing Food Sustainability".
