Dear Members and Friends,
On 9 April 2024, nearly 20 participants, among CICC members and friends, attended the event "Italy meets China: Focus on Feng Xian District" at the Planning Resources Exhibition Hall of Feng xian District.
The event was organized by the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce with the support of the Feng Xian District Investment Promotion Office, Shanghai Comprehensive Industrial Development Zone, and Oriental Beauty Valley.
This initiative helped to facilitate a better understanding of the business opportunities between the Italian community and the New City of Feng Xian and to foster links with local companies and potential new business partners.
After a brief introduction of both Feng Xian District, by Ms. Zhang Jun, Deputy Director of Feng Xian Invest Promotion, and CICC by the board Member Emilio Cassanelli, the morning session continued with the visit of two companies located in the area, namely Atos Shanghai and Oriental Beauty Valley Company.
Before the lunch break, the participants also had the opportunity to meet the Deputy Mayor of Fengxian District, Ms Li Lei.
After lunch, the attendees had the chance to participate in "Riding the Wave of Rising Shanghai, Feng Xian Influences the World" - 2024 "Foreign Enterprises Entering Feng Xian", a Manufacturing Industry Special Investment Promotion Event.
At the conference, several foreign companies were honoured for fruitful investments and collaborations with the Fengxian district. Among them were our member companies GWA, a consulting company, that received the Pro-Business Ambassador of Fengxian District Award and Sediver, with the headquarter in Italy, specializing in the development and production of high-quality tempered glass insulators for high and extra-high voltage transmission lines. In fact, Sediver plans a capital increase for the Fengxian district project and expansion of production.
