Post Event - Food Safety Seminar - Chongqing - 2017.05.17

Dear Members and Friends of CICC,

Wednesday, 17th May 2017 the Food Safety Seminar, was hold at Spazio Italia (Italian Centre) with the aim to increase companies’ knowledge about the Chinese policies about Food Safety.

 

The event was organized by the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with the British Chamber of Commerce and de Bedin & Lee LLP, about 10 companies joined the appointment.

After a brief introduction of the Seminar contents, the Lawyer Miss. Helen Morris focused the attention of the participants into three main subjects:

  • The 13th Five Year Plan on Food Safety in which there will be outlined the PRC’s priorities in relation to national food safety.
  • A general outline of the Food Safety Law in the PRC
  • Highlight the key changes from the previous Food Safety Law in 2015.

        

 

During the seminar Miss. Helen Morris, focused on the three main areas, defined during the 13th Year Plan on Food Safety, of enhanced supervision of food safety to better protect public health: Strengthening food safety supervision processes, increase frequency of food inspections, risk assessments and Strengthen food safety standards.

In the last part of the Seminar, the Lawyer answered to the questions of the participants.

 

The Food Safety Seminar was held during the days dedicated to the F&B of the Italian Festival, that is happening in Jiefangbei (Chongqing, China) from the 17th till the 27th of May.
