Post Event - GWA lecture: "China outbound M&A operations in Italy" - December 9th, Shanghai

Dear Members and Friends,

 

The China-Italy Chamber of Commerce is glad to announce that the Corporate Seminar "China outbound M&A operations in Italy" was successfully held on 9th of December 2019, at Four Seasons Hotel, Shanghai. The event was organized by GWA Greatway Advisory, with the presence of Professor Giovanni Fiori from LUISS Guido Carli, and the support of CICC and ACB Group, an Italian network that assists companies entering the Italian market.

 

  

 

The event was opened by Ms. Ludovica Murazzani, Commercial Consul of Consulate General of Italy in Shanghai, who welcomed the audience with greetings from the Italian Consulate of Italy in Shanghai. Afterward, Mr. Michele Geraci, former Under-Secretary of State for the Italian Ministry of Economic Development, took the stage for institutional greetings.

The first speaker was Mr. Daniele Zibetti, GWA Managing Partner, business lawyer based in Shanghai since 2006 specialized in Merger and Acquisition operations, Commercial Law and International Arbitration, followed by Ms. Tina Yang, GWA Senior Legal Advisor.

 

 

 

In the end, Giovanni Fiori, Professor of Business Administration at LUISS Guido Carli, underlined that Italy is one of the first major European economy where China can massively invest, basically for 10 good reasons, but especially because is the second biggest manufacturing industry in the European Union, the largest advanced country for agriculture, and at the second place in terms of tourist favorite destination, giving highlights about GDP faster growth per capita among the G-7.

The lecturers outlined also ODI Guidance aspects, providing related regulations orientations and procedures.
