Post Event_Giro d`Italia

The Second Edition of “Giro d’Italia – A journey through Italy”, organized by the Embassy of Italy in Beijing, in cooperation with China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC), Italian Cultural Institute and Italian National Agency for Tourism took place on April 18th in the Garden of the Embassy of Italy and registered the participation of around 5.000 visitors.

The event started at the Italian Cultural Institute with the conference Food and Health: a dialogue between Italy and China (speakers: Prof. Alberto Fiorito and Prof. Fan Zhihong).

In the afternoon the film Italy in a day, documentary by Oscar-winning Italian director Gabriele Salvatores, has been shown; following, the concert Il bel canto – the best of Italian Opera by Maestro Luan Feng’s alumni. At the end Duo Eleonora Pierro and Moreno Donadei performed the concert A Celebration of Italian Pop Music.

During the day, China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC) has promoted the coming activities 2015: establishment of the Italian School in Beijing (September 7th), Career Day (Beijing, May 17th), Goes Kart (Shenzhen, June 6th) and Panda d’Oro Award (Shanghai, June 13th). Moreover, as implementing partner of EU SME Centre, CICC has illustrated the Small and Medium Enterprises Centre’s activity.
