Return flight of Italian entrepreneurs to China_July 3rd, 2020

Yesterday, Thursday, July 2nd at 16:15, a charter flight took off carrying nearly 150 Italian managers, entrepreneurs and their families from Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP) to Nanjing Lukou International Airport (NKG). 

Flight NO0946 landed safe and sound at  Nanjing Lukou International Airport today at 09:44 a.m.!

Following the restrictions to enter China - implemented since last March 28th - the flight was organized by the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC), in cooperation with the Embassy of Italy in the P.R.C., the Italian Diplomatic Network in China and the support of the Italian airline company NEOS.

The project began last May when CICC launched a survey to collect the requests from Italian entrepreneurs in need to return to China.

Following that, a service package inclusive of daily assistance, air ticket and COVID-19 test was provided, as a result of the cooperation from all the parties involved.

This operation - carried out in such a short time - represents the priority attention given to the Italian business community in China by the Italian Institutions. The quick response and concrete solutions offered were pivotal in such a situation of emergency.

Upon arrival at the airport of Nanjing, the passengers were welcomed by representatives of the Consulate General of Italy in Shanghai, the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce Secretary General Giulia Gallarati and the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce Board Member Ermanno Vitali.

The anti-COVID-19 tests that the passengers underwent were all negative.
