"A Walk in Town” - Photography exhibition

27 February 2015

2015 Chinese New Year just began and the famous 798 gallery Art Depot is going to launch the Italian photographer Mattia’s work “A Walk in Town”, a photography exhibition of Beijing graffiti.

Mattia moved to Beijing in 2013 after living in Chongqing for eight years, and as soon as he landed he had been fascinated by the flourishing of graffiti art in the Capital, especially in the 798 artistic district. Therefore he decided to create the Instagram ID "Signs_of_Art" to share Beijing`s wall art with the world.

Starting in 2014, the photographer took hundreds of pictures of Beijing graffiti works and today you can see a selection of the 21 finest pieces on display. Already in January 2015, 15 of these 21 graffiti had already been covered stressing again the importance of Mattia’s work to save them, at least on camera.

The event opening is March 7th at 4:00 pm, and will be on display until March14th.
