POST EVENT – 2nd Zhejiang (Wenzhou) International Import Expo, September, 26th- 29th 2019

Dear Members and Friends,

The China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC) is glad to announce that the 2nd Edition of  Zhejiang International Import Expo was successfully held from September 26th to 29th at the Wenzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center.

Sponsored by the Department of Commerce of Zhejiang Province and Wenzhou Municipal Government and organized by Wenzhou Bureau of Commerce, Zhejiang (Wenzhou) Import Expo (WIIE) is a grand exhibition whose theme is “import commodities”.

The 1st WIIE, held in 2018, achieved surprising records: the fair covered 15.000 square meters, counted 550 booths, 107 thousand visitors and 350 exhibitors attracted, among which, 250 were foreigners from more than 33 countries. During the 2019 edition, the area was extended to 20.000 sqm, hosting more than 400 domestic and foreign enterprises from 40 countries and about 4 thousand business buyers on-site.

WIIE set up a trade and display platform for import business, helping, on one hand, to provide a larger Chinese market to international small and medium enterprises and, on the other, to introduce import goods of high cost performance to domestic cross-border sales platforms and consumers.

This year, as it happened in the previous edition of the fair, CICC organized a collective of 6 Italian companies, who had the opportunity to represent our culture, traditions and specialities, selling their products inside the area of the pavilion reserved to Italy.

The 2nd edition of the fair represented a real achievement for the companies in the CICC collective, since they managed to sell out all the products exhibited in their booths!
