CICC Chairman Lorenzo Riccardi Meets with Shanxi Province CCPIT

On July 14, 2025 China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC) Chairman Lorenzo Riccardi met with China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Trade Shanxi Provincial Committee (CCPIT)Secretary Jiao Yufeng and Vice Chairman Mi Bingsheng.

During the meeting, the CICC’s activities and missions were introduced while CCPIT provided a comprehensive overview of Shanxi Province, covering its history, culture, climate, infrastructure, energy sector, and industrial landscape. CCPIT also outlined the council’s core functions in facilitating international trade and investment.

CCPIT extended an invitation to CICC to attend the 2025 China (Taiyuan) International Energy Industry Expo and the Shanxi Tour for International Economic and Trade Organizations and Overseas Business Associations, both scheduled for the second half of the year. Additionally, CCPIT sought the Chamber’s support for the upcoming 2025 Shanxi Tour in Italy set for late October.

To strengthen long-term collaboration, initiatives including establishing regular exchange and cooperation mechanisms, creating an information-sharing platform, and organizing ongoing exchange activities to foster mutual business development were proposed.

This meeting served as a vital platform for deepening ties between Shanxi and the CICC, marking a new step forward in advancing Shanxi-Italy economic trade relations.
