China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC) asks for your valued opinion about CICC services.
Please fill in the questionnaire.

On the afternoon of November 28th, the Rudong (Shanghai) Foreign Investment Manufacturing Enterprises Seminar was held in Shanghai. The event focused on cutting-edge fields such as intelligent equipment, life and health, and functional food, attracting representatives from more than 50 well-known domestic and international enterprises and institutions, including the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC) and representatives from different sectors, to jointly explore new opportunities for industrial cooperation and development.

The CICC Board Member in Shanghai, Emilio Cassanelli, attended the seminar and briefly introduced the history of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in China, its mission, and its current organization across the country. As Cassanelli emphasized, one key goal of the Chamber is to help Italian entrepreneurs and companies successfully establish themselves in China, both in terms of location and a friendly business environment. In this regard, understanding the opportunities and potential within Rudong County is very useful and important for the Chamber, as it supports companies considering relocation or newcomers arriving from abroad. The marine and pharmaceutical equipment industries are historically well represented in Italy, and Rudong seems to be an ideal area to consider.

Mr. Cai Dong, Member of the Standing Committee of the County Party Committee and Secretary of the Party Working Committee of the Rudong Economic Development Zone (High-tech Zone), and Mr. Gu Benyong, Member of the Standing Committee of the County Party Committee and Executive Deputy County Mayor, also participated in the event.
Rudong is located in Jiangsu Province, in the northern wing of the Yangtze River estuary, with 86 kilometers of coastline, 4,555 square kilometers of sea area, and millions of acres of mudflats. It is rich in marine resources and is a city with strong potential for marine-oriented development. Relying on the triple advantages of “favorable timing, geographical location, and harmonious people,” Rudong actively integrates into the development of the Yangtze River Delta. It not only benefits from policy opportunities brought by national strategies, but also deeply connects to Shanghai’s “one-hour economic circle” thanks to its river–sea transport links, promoting the increasingly smooth path of “R&D in Shanghai, transformation in Rudong.”
