CICC Suzhou Office Visits Wujiang Foreign Affairs Office and Wujiang Commerce Bureau

Dear Members and Friends,

On August 26th, 2020, China-Italy Chamber of Commerce Suzhou Office paid an official visit to Wujiang Foreign Affairs Office and Wujiang Commerce Bureau.

Mr. Riccardo Campanile, CICC Board Member in Suzhou and Ms. Sarah Tian, Suzhou Office Coordinator met with Wujiang Foreign Affairs Office, Wujiang Commerce Bureau and Suzhou Wujiang District Foreign Investment Enterprise Association in order to build and enhance communication, to get more familiar with the business community in Wujiang District, and  to jointly taking care of the members the CICC, as well as other Italian companies that are located in Wujiang District.

Mr. Zhu Xing, Deputy Director of Wujiang District Foreign Affairs Office, Suzhou Municipality welcomed CICC by sharing the bilateral cooperation between Wujiang and Provincia di Latina, Italy, and he especially mentioned that Wujiang has established a friendship city relationship with three cities in Provincia di Latina, namely, Itri, Gaeta, and Fondi in October 2019. Mr. Zhu also shared with us that Wujiang delivered medical facial masks to the three mentioned cities during COVID-19 outbreak in Italy and Mr. Campanile expressed his thanks to Wujiang on behalf of CICC.

Ms. Zhu Dongmei, Deputy Director of Wujiang Commerce Bureau gave us a brief introduction of European companies as well as the development of Italian companies in Wujiang.

Mr. Campanile and Ms. Tian presented who is CICC and what Suzhou Chapter is doing.

Ms. Ma Qinfang, Executive President of Suzhou Wujiang District Foreign Investment Enterprise Association introduced the Association to us.

Wujiang Foreign Affairs Office and Wujiang Commerce Bureau, Suzhou Wujiang District Foreign Investment Enterprise Association and CICC agreed to continue to strengthen communication and exchange to jointly support Italian companies operating in Wujiang, the business community, as well as the bilateral cooperation between China and Italy.
