Industrial Park Visit - Chongqing Logistic City - 2017/03/03 - Post Event

Friday, March 2nd the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce organised the visit to the Chongqing Logistic City (CLC).

About 20 companies joined the tour and were welcomed by Mr. Zhang Lei the new Executive Deputy Director of the CLC that expressed his happiness in receiving such a great feedback of interest from Italian companies towards the CLC.

Nowadays, the Chongqing Logistic City represents the most appealing logistic infrastructure for all those companies interested in investing in Chongqing.

Aimed to create a direct connection between Chongqing and Europe, from its foundation on 2007 the CLC reached:
 
- 35 sq km of extension;
- 111.7 billion RMB invested;
- 1729 companies registered;
- 4 International routes;
- 5 domestic routes;
- from 17 trains in 2011 to 400 trains in 2016 (both inbound and outbound).

The Mayor of Chongqing has been the main promoter of this project and his efforts were extremely important to achieve these results.

The tour started with the visit to Chongqing railway container terminal and to Chongqing railway bonded logistics centre. These are the departing points of the main railway infrastructure connecting Chongqing with domestic and international destinations as well.

YuXinOu railway (Chongqing-Xinjiang-Europe) probably represents the most interesting feature of the Chongqing Logistic City. This railway allows companies to send their goods from Chongqing to Duisburg (Germany) in 12-15 days crossing 5 countries (Kazakhstan, Russia, Belorussia, Poland and Germany)

After that, the experts of the Chongqing Logistic City gave more details to the participants about the services provided by the structure, point of strengths and opportunities for companies.

In the end, the participants were given the opportunity to ask tailored questions to the experts.
