theMICAMshanghai _ post event

The second edition of theMICAMshanghai, the International Footware and Leather Goods Exhibition was held from 11th to 13th October at the Shanghai Exhibition Centre.

Jointly organized by Italian Footware Manufacturers’ Association (ANCI) and Fiera Milano, the exhibition performed as a unique and flexible platform for business to business meetings. More than two hundreds international exhibitors attended the fair and were visited by thousands of visitors, retailers, buyers and shareholders not only from China, but also from Hong Kong and South Korea.

In the wake of the first edition, theMICAMshanghai thus played a pivotal role for SMEs eyeing at the Chinese market and for the promotion of Made-in-Italy, whose import in China increased by 15,1% with reference to the same period of 2012.
 

Within the framework of theMICAMshanghai, the China Italy Chamber of Commerce successfully organized the seminar “Traceability & fashion: from the artisan to the web”.

Focus of the seminar was the presentation of the Tfashion project, that is the voluntary traceability system (VTS) of the Italian Chambers of Commerce.
Promoted by Unioncamere and managed by Unionfiliere through the cooperation of Italian Chambers of Commerce in Italy and abroad, the certification aims at qualifying and maximizing the value of Italian fashion products, already broadly recognized as finest products in terms of creativity, quality and craftsmanship, by tracking down the whole manufacturing process.
