Job description: 

We’re looking for a strategic sales manager to join .Cloud global sales team. In this role you will manage go-to-market activities for the Chinese market including cultivating existing business partnerships and finding new business. Your role will also include other key Asian markets.

A successful sales manager will be highly organized, self-motivated, loves technology and to travel.

You will work well independently in your region, at the same time you will able to coordinate with a greater international team, including colleagues and executives in the Italian Headquarters.

As momentum sales of .Cloud in China increase, there may also be an opportunity for you to play a key strategic role in developing future programs and services for the Chinese market based on other Aruba's lines of business such as data center and cloud solutions. In this role you can expect high visibility with Aruba.it senior executives, given the strategic priority for developing longer-term business and partnerships between Aruba and Chinese public and private sector.  

  • Day-to-day account leads for Chinese channel partners, acting as the primary point of contact for your day-to-day business
  • Pro-actively finding new business opportunities such as new Registrars, reseller channels, activating large resellers, forming other types of partnerships
  • Contribute ideas and support the execution of partner promotions and campaigns to meet sales and marketing objectives
  • As a priority, analyze and report on key business metrics to measure and guide global industry teams
  • Represent .Cloud and Aruba.it at key industry events as required (in China and Internationally). This may require public speaking.
  • Be responsible for compliance activities, be responsible for understanding new or changed government policies (as related to the business), report new or changed government policies to your managers, and maintain positive government relations at all times.
Education Background: 
  • 5+ years of experience in sales or partner management within Domain Name industry or technology sectors
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, computer science or relevant field of study
  • Successful track record of developing partnerships, programs or new business in China and preferably in other Asian markets (with enterprise partners, as well as smaller niche partners)
  • Be able to negotiate strongly and create win-win strategies and programs between the Registry and channel partners
  • Excellent verbal and written skills in both Chinese and English (must be fluent in English and preferable has spent time working or studying abroad; must have a comprehensive and correct Chinese vocabulary of all relevant industry terminology)
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to do market assessments, business planning and strategy
  • Must be proficient with technology and business software and highly comfortable working with remote teams, software tools and VPNs
  • Must be willing and able to follow operational standards, especially concerning confidentiality, technology practices and branding guidelines
  • Special consideration will be given to candidates with experience in successful long-term technology partnerships with Gov’t, smart city industry, subject matter expertise in big data and data center.
