Job description: 

A European group is looking for a General Manager for its business operation in China that includes a plant, a trading company and a central administrative office. The GM, will lead the overall business and will take the responsibility as Chief Manufacturing Engineering ensuring that the Company has the necessary manufacturing process capability (man, machine, process) to consistently deliver high quality products to our customers.

 

Key Responsibility:

As GM

  • Overseeing daily business operations
  • Researching and identifying growth opportunities
  • Developing and implementing growth strategies
  • Improving revenue
  • Creating and managing budgets
  • Analyzing accounting and financial data
  • Hiring employees
  • Training low-level managers and staff
  • Evaluating performance and productivity
  • Generating reports and coordinating activities within the Group

 

As Chief Manufacturing Engineer

  • Develop, maintain, and strengthen The Company Manufacturing Engineering Community where best practice sharing, cross-plant communication, process optimisation, and issue resolution is the culture.
  • Develop and maintain global engineering standards and methods suitable for the wide array of diverse manufacturing capability and product scope.
  • Administers, maintains, reviews and approves all engineering change requests – drive completion and implementation of engineering changes in a timely fashion.
  • Key participant in identifying, acquiring, and implementing new manufacturing process
  • Optimize manufacturing efficiency and production rates
  • Develop local suppliers for both national and international deliveries

Education Background: 

Key Requirement:

  • BS or higher degree in an engineering discipline; Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering or Management with strong technical background
  • 5 to 10 years experience in a process engineering related position in China including man management for at least 5 years
  • Hands on experience in steel manufacturing processes with specific exposure to process automatization
  • Experience with launching new products in a materials processing industry
  • Fluency in English and/or Italian and Mandarin Chinese
