"Buyers Voice" feature - Interview with Jm Wedding

The China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC) realizes activities to facilitate individual or collective participation in international and local fairs. In this light, the cooperation between the CICC and Fiera Milano continues also in 2017.

This year, the CICC will lead a large delegation of Chinese buyers for attending the event Sì Sposaitalia Collezioni, considered as the ultimate exhibition for both the domestic and international bridal and formal wear industry.

We here anticipate the view of the Chinese bridal store JM Weddings, interviewed by Sì Sposaitalia Collezioni. JM Wedding will take part in this exhibition as visitor and member of our delegation. The interview focuses on the role of buyers in a constantly evolving market, amidst analyses of the latest global trends and the interesting opportunities offered by new communication tools.

SÌ Sposaitalia Collezioni:  When we think about a wedding, the first thing that comes to mind is the wedding dress. What details and elements should do you look for when choosing a garment, accessory or collection to offer the bride and groom?

JM Weddings: When choosing a collection, we often look for garments that provide flexibilities to complement with any accessories, styles that provides option such as detachable skirt, designer’s distinctiveness as well as what is currently trending in the market to suit the bride’s needs.

 

SÌ Sposaitalia Collezioni: Grasping new trends: this has become an imperative for any professional, not only in the bridal sector. What, in your opinion, are the most interesting sources of information and inspiration to keep always up-to-date?

JM Weddings: Social medias are definitely the most interesting source of information regardless of any industries. These channels offer variety of information from image, video to brand’s detail that captures bride-to-be’s attention in a global scale. The use of these channels also offer great opportunities to explore new designers, trends as well as what the market is most desired of for the professional.

 

SÌ Sposaitalia Collezioni: The revolution created by the web and the complex economic situation have influenced the requirements of women and of the couple for their big day. How has the buyer’s role changed in this scenario?

JM Weddings: These aspects have certainly impacted our decision making as a buyer. Brides-to-be will take excessive research before coming to the salon, and hopefully getting a look they love in the web that is value-for-money at the same time during this economy situation. As a buyer, it is becoming important to have the styles that are currently overflowing in web rather than styles that actually fits the bride.

 

SÌ Sposaitalia Collezioni: What’s the role of a trade fair such as Sì Sposaitalia in this scenario?

JM Weddings: Trade fair such as Si Sposaitalia offers great opportunity to discover new ideas and designs every year. It allows buyer to keep up with the trendy elements & styles, and what the upcoming seasons would be like in the bridal market.
