CICC meets with Suzhou Authorities SIP & SND

The Chairman of the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC), Mr. Lorenzo Riccardi, with a delegation of CICC Board members, recently held a significant meeting with the authorities of Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP) and Suzhou National New & Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone (SND). This meeting marks a pivotal step in bolstering economic cooperation and fostering strong bilateral ties between China and Italy.

 

During the meeting at Suzhou Industrial Park, the delegation was warmly received by Ms. Liu Hua, Vice Chairman of the SIP Administrative Committee. Ms. Liu congratulated Mr. Riccardi on his new position. Discussions centred on exploring new cooperation on economic collaboration, enhancing investment opportunities both for Local and Italian companies, and promoting technological innovation and Culture exchange. Both parties expressed their enthusiasm for future joint ventures and projects that could benefit from the robust industrial capabilities of Suzhou and the entrepreneurial spirit of Italian businesses.

 

After the meeting CICC delegation visited the Suzhou Industrial Park Showroom. This year is the 30th anniversary of the founding of Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP), and through the visit to the exhibition hall, the delegation saw the rapid development of the park in the past 30 years.

 

 

Following the SIP meeting, the delegation proceeded to the Suzhou National New & Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone, where they met with Mr. Henry Sun, director of SND Commerce Bureau. Mr. Sun welcomed the old friends from CICC. emphasized the strategic importance of international partnerships and introduced the industry character of SND. The discussion also touched upon future possibility cooperation on further supporting to the Italian investor in Suzhou.

 

Mr. Riccardi expressed his appreciation for the warm welcome and productive discussions, stating, " Suzhou was the first place I visited after taking official role. We are optimistic about the opportunities that lie ahead for Italian enterprises in Suzhou. The commitment from both sides to foster innovation and economic growth is evident, and we look forward to a fruitful collaboration."

 

 

This visit signifies a promising chapter in Suzhou-Italy relations, particularly in the realms of industrial development and technological advancement. The China-Italy Chamber of Commerce remains dedicated to building bridges between Suzhou and Italy, fostering mutual growth and prosperity.
