EU-China Environmental Sustainability Programme - Call for Proposals

In the 15th EU-China Summit held on 20 September 2012, the summit leaders have committed towards a stronger EU-China comprehensive strategic partnership. Among many agreements made during the summit, the leaders have agreed to step up bilateral cooperation including through cooperation on water pollution, waste policy and heavy metal pollution.

As a follow-up action to the summit, the Call for Proposals under the EU-China Sustainability Programme has been launched on 15 October, 2012 by the European Commission.


The specific objective of this Call for Proposals is to support the Chinese authorities in their efforts of achieving environmental sustainability by reducing water and heavy metal pollution and implementing sustainable waste policies.

 

The overall indicative amount made available under this Call for Proposals is EUR 9.000.000. The Contracting Authority reserves the right not to award all available funds.

The deadline to submit the Concept Notes is December 14th 2012.
