EVENT RECAP | China-Italy Economic and Trade Exchange Meeting - April 2nd, 2024

The China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC) successfully hosted the "China-Italy Economic and Trade Exchange Meeting" on April 2nd, 2024, at the Suzhou Industrial Park Enterprise Development Service Center.

 

 

The event aimed to bolster Sino-Italian economic cooperation and foster valuable networking opportunities for businesses interested in exploring the Chinese or Italian markets and expanding overseas ventures.

The opening session featured insightful speeches by esteemed representatives including Mr. Giacomo Bove, Board Director of China-Italy Chamber of Commerce, and Ms. Jia He, Deputy Director of the Suzhou Industrial Park Enterprise Development Service Center. They emphasized the significance of bilateral cooperation and investment.

 

 

Throughout the event, invited experts shed light on the opportunities and challenges inherent in the Chinese and Italian markets. Mr. Matteo Zhi, Senior Partner of D'Andrea & Partners Legal Counsel, and Ms. Shaokai Chen, Senior Partner of Dacheng Law Suzhou office, provided invaluable insights from legal perspectives In the economic situation, industrial structure and ODI practice. Their contributions were complemented by Mr. Xiangyu Tao's enlightening session on overseas investment promotion in the Yangtze River Delta region.

 

 

Key stakeholders such as Mr. Muchun Chen, Deputy Head of China Construction Bank Milan Branch, and SACE Spa shared innovative solutions and services tailored to facilitate cross-border trade and investment between China and Italy.

 

 

Additionally, Ms. Cinzia Sarli, Deputy Trade Commissioner of Italian Trade Agency Shanghai, shared ITA Shanghai activities to promote Italian SMEs in Chinese market.

 

 

The event also featured inspiring study case from leading enterprises, including MEC Industry Services Co. Ltd, Jiangsu Beiren Smart Manufacturing Technology Co., Ltd., and Carel Electronic (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. Their success stories provided practical insights into navigating the complexities of international business and maximizing market potential.
