On 28 March, the Mechanical Engineering Working Group (MEWG) of the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC) successfully organised the first edition of "Apericena: An outlook for 2024" in Shanghai at the Mediterranean restaurant FIAMA, with the participation of almost 30 people.
The event was opened by Riccardo Budriesi, coordinator of the Mechanical Engineering Working Group (MEWG) & CEO of Marposs (Shanghai) Technologies Co., Ltd with a brief welcome from the MEWG team and an update on the group's next activities in 2024. Afterwards, Mr. Budriesi gave a comprehensive overview of the industrial strategic program of the road to "Made in China 2025" and key factors to promote our competitiveness in China for foreign companies.
As the comprehensive revision of the new Company Law is set to introduce significant changes to various aspects of the systems for foreign-invested enterprises. Mr. Matteo Zhi, Senior Partner of D'Andrea & Partners Legal Counsel, outlined the 10 key issues that foreign-invested enterprises should prioritize under the new company law framework. These include 1) shareholder contribution obligations, 2) corporate governance structure, 3) duties and responsibilities of directors, supervisors, and senior management, 4) equity transfer obligations and 5) capital reduction methods.
With the recommendation that foreign-invested enterprises 1) gradually adjust their contribution periods over a period of 5 years, 2) make changes to the organizational structure, 3) adjust the number of supervisors, and 4) consider appointing employee directors. These suggestions are made for the guidance of foreign-invested enterprises.
After the presentation, all guests enjoyed the authentic Mediterranean cuisine.
CICC would like to thank all the guests for attending and making the event unforgettable.
