For five generations DEL GATTO family has been manufacturing mother of pearls, cameos, turquoise and natural stones to create unique and unrepeatable jewels that will make you dream.
The well-preserved family traditions have been passed on through generations, allowing for superb craftsmanship.
The first and foremost inspiration comes from the raw materials with their natural shapes and colors, an infinite source of chromatic combinations.
These natural materials are traditionally crafted in the workshops in Torre Del Greco by skilled artisans and are continuously reinterpreted in an attempt to experiment with new possibilities, yet preserving, uncompromised, the delicate quality of our products.
DEL GATTO jewels naturally possess an intrinsic handcrafted value and a timeless beauty: “One of a kind as you are”.
The light of a diamond can truly lighten the world: it was the credo of Giorgio Visconti, in the year when humankind came out of the darkest hour.
It was 1946.
And the world to which Giorgio Visconti decided to give light had the appearance of a woman, finally free to restore meaning to the most precious moments of her life.
It was not, however, a matter of conceiving some flamboyant shapes, pursuing short-lived fashion trends or surrendering to ostentation.
Giorgio Visconti was inspired by the rigorous values he grew up with. For him, to illuminate a woman with a diamond meant to remain true to the purity of classic jewelry, reshaping the eternal forms under the light of his personal intuition.
Over the years, a creative research based on the brilliance of the jewels came to life in its unique character: Giorgio Visconti personally selected and set the precious gems with an unprecedented sensitivity. He worked on classic jewelry in order to draw from the diamonds a unique, unmistakable light.

The Moleskine notebook is the heir and successor to the legendary notebook used by artists and thinkers over the past two centuries: among them Vincent Van Gogh, Pablo Picasso, Ernest Hemingway and Bruce Chatwin.
A simple black rectangle that held the sketches, notes, stories and ideas that would one day become famous paintings or the pages of beloved books.
In the mid-1980s, the notebook that Bruce Chatwin had nicknamed “moleskine” became increasingly scarce and then disappeared completely.
In 1997, a small Milanese publisher brought the legendary notebook back to life, choosing this literary name to revive an extraordinary tradition of creativity and self-expression.
From the creative minds of the past to the makers of the future: today’s Moleskine objects are blank canvases that invite you to continue the story.
A STORY OF ITALIAN ACCOMPLISHMENT, DEVOTION AND DEDICATION
It prompted the automotive and motorcycle aficionado Giorgio Nannini to create in his laboratory specialized and innovative eyewear for driving both antique and modern cars. Vassoio The idea came about from passion and a need that he shrewdly perceived and resulted in the first Nannini eyewear, which was expertly made by hand to create something new and extraordinary.
The idea of specialized indestructible eyewear ideal for different sports came out of a chance encounter with a Bugatti racing car driver in 1958. In 1962, another happy coincidence led Nannini onto his most ambitious project: the thinnest eyewear in the world, eyewear that was practical and easy to carry around. This is how Compact, the Italian and international prize-winning eyewear line, was born.
In 1972, production started on a large scale (meticulously Made in Italy, as it is still today) with the purchase of specially designed machinery to make glasses with lenses. However, it was not until 1976, after an innovative and successful sales campaign which included talking in-store displays (a first in the industry), that the name became what it is today: well-known and appreciated world-wide, with immediate brand recognition. International market growth led to much recognition and resulted in the honor of a special exhibition for the eyewear being hosted at MOMA in New York: “Ingenious and Unique Eyewear in the World”.
We still hold the same values that prompted Giorgio Nannini to start out on his fantastic adventure: passion, craftsmanship and quality that is diligently Made in Italy.
