Meeting with the Italian Business Community in China

04 December 2025

On November 21st, 2025, an institutional meeting with the Italian business community in China was held at the Auditorium of the Embassy of Italy in Beijing, organized in collaboration with the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC).

The event opened with remarks by H.E. Massimo Ambrosetti, Ambassador of Italy to the P.R.C., and focused on three main objectives:

  • Strengthening dialogue between Italian institutions (Embassy, ICE, SACE, and CICC) and the business community.
  • Presenting the business guide Diplomazia della Crescita: Destinazione Cina, an operational tool for Italian companies prepared by the diplomatic-consular network and ICE.
  • Gathering insights from the field ahead of the upcoming Joint Economic Commission and the Italy-China Business Forum scheduled for the first months of 2026.

The meeting also featured an address by Lorenzo Riccardi, Chairman of the CICC, who outlined the key challenges and opportunities for Italian companies in China, followed by contributions from representatives of the Italian institutional system.

The core of the event was dedicated to three sector-focused sessions:

  • Agri-food and Agritech, highlighting emerging market opportunities.
  • Digital Health, examining current developments and future prospects in the healthcare sector.
  • Innovation and Technology, exploring potential avenues for cooperation in scientific and technological fields.

The initiative underscores the strong synergy between Italy’s business and institutional networks in China, reaffirming a joint dedication to promoting sustainable growth, innovation, and bilateral economic cooperation.
