New Opportunities with the 4th Edition of Suzhou Business Forum

The China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC) is glad to announce that the 4th Edition of Suzhou Business Forum was held on October 22nd 2021 at Tiandu Tower SND.

The Business Forum aimed to gather all local, foreign and Italian companies and foster cooperation and networking: with over 150 Italian companies, Suzhou is an excellent place to discuss and develop connections within the business community.

 

 

The opening address was held by Ms Alessandra Palumbo, Commercial Consul of Consulate General of Italy in Shanghai.

The following speech was given by Mr Lorenzo Riccardi, Treasurer of the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce, who reiterated the Chamber's support for Italian companies in Suzhou, underlining the important role that the Business Forum plays at this time. Mr Riccardi also recalled the opportunities of the Chinese market, noting that China is the first economy for exports, trade and FDI, with Jiangsu being the first province by GDP per capita and the prefecture of Suzhou being the most important by economic value as well as the location with the largest number of Italian manufacturing project.

 

 

"Suzhou municipal government has always attached great importance to strengthening economic and trade relations with many countries, including Italy. At present, our city is further promoting the construction of a market-oriented, legalized and international business environment, continuously polishing the "Supreme Service, Super Suzhou" business service brand, and is committed to providing a better business environment and building various exchange and cooperation platforms for foreign-invested enterprises in Suzhou. Today, with the strong assistance of Suzhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce, Suzhou Overseas Chinese Federation, CCPIT Suzhou Committee, Suzhou Federation of Industry and Commerce and Suzhou Youth Chamber of Commerce, we have invited more than 20 local enterprises to networking with Italian enterprises on site, including precision work, packaging, environmental protection, energy and other fields. We hope today's event will have fruitful results."

This was said by the Deputy Director of Suzhou Foreign Affairs Office, Mr Li Wenhui.

 

 

Furthermore, Mr Giacomo Bove, CICC Board Member in Suzhou, took the stage with a warm greeting and a warm welcome to all participants. Mr Bove then underlined the importance of collaborating with Chinese companies and local authorities, as this highlights a solid cultural and industrial link between Italy and China.

11 Italian companies and 24 local companies participated in the 4th edition of the Suzhou Business Forum.

 

 

The event was hosted by Ms Elisa Qiu, Coordinator of the CICC Suzhou Office.

The Forum was closed by a B2B matchmaking which gave a great opportunity to all participants to exchange ideas, information and suggestion on how to improve the mutual business.
