POST EVENT: CICC Breakfast Seminar: "Making Brands Matter in Turbulent Time" – May 8th 2020, Shanghai

Dear Members and Friends,

The China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC), is glad to announce that the Breakfast Seminar focused on "Making Brands Matter in Turbulent Time" was successfully held on May 8th, 2020 in Shanghai.

The Seminar was opened by Emanuela Vizzarro, CICC Shanghai Office Manager, who afterwards introduced two Board Members for a welcoming greetings: Mauro Maggioni, CICC Board Member and CEO Asia Pacific at Golden Goose (Shanghai) Trading Co.,Ltd., who expressed the satisfaction of being part of the new Board of Directors and of being able to represent an important sector such as luxury and fashion inside the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce and Lorenzo Riccardi, CICC Treasurer and Managing Partner at RSA (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., that underlined the importance of activities organized by the CICC despite the difficulties of the moment we are experiencing.

Following, the seminar featured the topics and speakers below: 

  • Mrs. Janet Tsai, Vice President, Marketing & Communication at Ogilvy China, offered an overview on  ​"Making brands matter in turbulent times: How to steer brands through a crisis" mentioning the process that the International companies in China will adapt post the pandemic situation focusing on new consumer behavior, emerging products needs and new marketing strategies. 

 

  • Afterwards, Mr. Riccardo Cavaglià, Shanghai Branch Manager at Alisei followed up by focusing on “Digital branding during COVID-19” providing information related to new online marketing strategies, on different Chinese streaming and social media platforms such as WeChat, DouYin and TaoBao and how the brand associates sales into KOLs,  and enables them to reach online customers directly through vary digital  platforms. 

 

  • Mrs. YingTing Cheng, Istituto Marangoni Chief Operating Officer​ together with Francesco Fioretto, Istituto Marangoni Shanghai Education Director intervened on Creativity and Business Opportunity at the time of Coronavirus: How Fashion can make a better world” providing practical aspects and overviews on how digital marketing changed and impacted luxury brands all over the world and how the consumers buying process has changed after the digital revolution. 

  • Francesco Fioretto afterwards held a presentation hand-drew on his sketchbook transmitted on the projector board via video-cam technology focusing on new emerging consumer traits and behaviors and how the post pandemic consumer thinking pattern is going to impact as a result of sales concerning overall brands.

All participants actively took part in the Q&A session showing strong interest in the topics developed and receiving accurate answers from the speakers.
