POST EVENT: CICC Members' Meeting: Anhui, Jiangsu, Shanghai, Zhejiang - 8th June 2020, Shanghai

Dear Members and Friends,


The China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC) is pleased to inform you that the "Members' Meeting Anhui, Jiangsu, Shanghai, Zhejiang" was successfully held on June 8, 2020 at the Auditorium on the tenth floor of the CICC office in Shanghai.

 

The Members' Meeting started with the greetings of the Ambassador of Italy in the P.R.C. Luca Ferrari, who gave a warm welcome to all those present at the meeting, underlining the importance of the Shanghai district by representing an important segment of the CCIC membership base.
Ambassador Luca Ferrari expressed gratitude to the CCIC for organizing this first meeting with the members of Anhui, Jiangsu, Shanghai, and Zhejiang, who reflect all the sectors that are the flagship of Italian exports to China, from Mechanics to shipbuilding, from energy to logistics, from medical to digital services, without neglecting the sectors that make Italy famous such as fashion, furnishings, fashion and agri-food. These are realities that are not present in China by mere production delocalization or purely aimed at export but strongly integrated into the local supply chains devoted to serving the immense Chinese market with infinite potential. His speech ended with the hope of future meetings with the Italian business community in China, showing full availability in meeting the needs of companies.

 

Then, the CICC Chairman Paolo Bazzoni took the floor by giving an overview of the Mission, governance and, strategic priorities of the new Board of Directors.

Afterward, the CCIC Treasurer Lorenzo Riccardi spoke about the financial management of the Chamber.

The meeting then got to the heart with the presentation of the 2020 program, during which the CICC Board Members illustrated the key activities for the next semester.

The CICC Board Members Antonio Farese and Fabrizio Ferri announced the participation of the CICC in the China International Industry Fair, which will take place from 15 to 19 September 2020 in Shanghai, and the launch of the Week of Italian Mechanical Technology in China (WIMTEC) in the same month.

Following, the Suzhou CICC Board Member Riccardo Campanile provided a general overview of the upcoming activities of the area within his jurisdiction, such as the Suzhou Appreciation Meeting, Career Day and, the Business Forum.

The meeting continued with the speech of the CICC Board Member Ermanno Vitali, highlighting the activities planned for Nanjing and Wuxi.

The CICC Board Member Mauro Maggioni then took the floor to inform the members about the participation in the Salone del Mobile and the planned activities aimed at supporting the Fashion and Luxury sectors.

The CICC Vice-Chairman in Shanghai Valtero Canepa gave a speech on the CIIE and on the project for the establishment of two consultants, one of the Youth and another of the Chinese Managers.

In the last session, the CICC Shanghai and Suzhou Office Manager Emanuela Vizzarro highlighted the other activities of the district: Authentic Italian Table, Italian Festival, Seminars and SGSO.

The meeting ended with a long and animated Q&A session, in which the Board of Directors provided answers to the questions raised.
