The event was opened with welcome greetings by Emanuela Vizzarro, CICC Shanghai Office Manager, who introduced Paolo Bazzoni, Chairman of CICC, who gave a warm welcome to all the participants.

Afterwards, Mr. Bazzoni underlined the importance of the topic of discussion as an opportunity to deepen the recently acceleration of digital strategies in disruptive times.

It’s clear that online and offline sales strategies must be more connected than ever and the brands should adapt their approach to the market and bridge the gap between online and offline experiences.

  • Mauro Maggioni, CEO Asia Pacific Golden Goose
  • Alfonso Troisi, Business Executive Officer Greater China Nestlè Nespresso
  • Nicky Wang, Managing Director & Head of Strategy WE Red Bridge

Nicky Wang was also the Moderator of the panel and she addressed several but specific questions to the panelists, by covering the following key points:

  • Sharing their digital strategies to support the development of their business in China.
  • How online has complemented the offline business.
  • The launch of online e-commerce stores and expectations for these channels in terms of engagement with the customers.
  • The difference between digital marketing in China and Western markets.
  • How the online business has changed the role of retail strategies.
  • What has been learned from the COVID crisis in terms of balancing online and offline offers.

The event was followed by an interactive and very animated Q&A session, with many participants addressing their questions to the speakers.

Afterwards, a networking cocktail allowed all the participants to further interact with the guests and panelists and to share their observations.

CICC would like to thank the SwissCham China, the panelists and all the participants who joined the event.

Kind regards,
