POST EVENT- Members' Meeting: Anhui, Jiangsu, Shanghai, Zhejiang - November 17th 2018, Shanghai

Dear CICC Members and Friends,

The China-Italy Chamber of Commerce is glad to inform that CICC Members’ Meeting has been held on November 17th at The Center in Shanghai.

The event was opened by welcome remarks by Mr. Valtero Canepa, CICC Vice-Chairman in Shanghai, who invited the Consul General of Italy in Shanghai Mr. Michele Cecchi on the stage. He described the importance of the support provided by Italian Institutions during the China International Import Expo (CIIE) and the interest that Italy has been showing towards China, as demonstrated during the visit of the Deputy Prime Minister of Italy, Mr. Luigi Di Maio.

Then, Mr. Massimiliano Tremiterra, ITA - Italian Trade Agency Commissioner, talked about the impact of the presence of Italian companies during the Expo.

A Q&A session followed allowing participants to deepen main topics of interest.

Following the presentation about “Chinese Consumers: current trends and future scenarios” by Ms. Francesca Hansstein, Research Assistant Professor at Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, an interesting panel discussion was moderated by Mr. Valtero Canepa. Involved panelists were Ms. Francesca Hansstein, Mr. Luca Carpinelli, Commercial Director Florentia Village, and Mr. Roberto Dona’, Associate Dean for Corporate Engagement, IBSS @ XJTLU.

The event has been an opportunity to assess CICC recent activities and discuss about new important projects.

Ms. Emanuela Vizzarro, CICC Shanghai and Suzhou Manager, continued with a presentation of the activities and services organized by the CICC in Shanghai and Suzhou in the last six months of 2018, with a special focus on the 2nd Edition of Suzhou Business Forum (Nov 16th) and the upcoming Career Days in Shanghai (Nov 29th) and Suzhou (Dec 6th).

Afterwards, CICC Board Members gave an overview of other CICC activities:

CICC Activities in Chongqing - CICC Board Member, Mr. Paolo Bazzoni;
The Italian Champions Project in cooperation with AGIC (Associazione Giovani Italiani in Cina) –​ CICC Board Member, Mr. Riccardo Coli;
Suzhou Chapter- Coordinator of  CICC Suzhou Chapter, Mr. Lorenzo Balì.

The meeting continued with the presentation of the New Membership Campaign for 2019.

During the following Q&A session the participants had the chance to debate with other CICC Board Members.
