POST EVENT - Seminar: "Visa Policy Update in China" - September 18th, Suzhou

Dear Members and Friends,

The China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC) is glad to announce that the Seminar “Visa Policy Update in China” was successfully held on Wednesday 18th of September in Suzhou.

Ms. Emanuela Vizzarro, Manager of the CICC Shanghai-Suzhou Offices, opened the event, welcoming all the participants to the seminar and introducing the speakers.

The first speaker was Ms. Coko Gu, Supervisor of Commerce Department, FESCO Adecco SZ, who explained the differences existing among the A and B categories of Visa for foreigners. Afterwards, she exposed the theme of taxation payment for foreigners in China and the process necessary to obtain a working or resident permit.

Then, Mr. Ma Wei, Chief of Exit-Entry Bureau Residence Permit Section, highlighted the substantial amount of mistakes performed during the procedures necessary to obtain the work and residence permit, mostly due to lack of information about this process.

 

In the end, Mr. Jin Jianwen, Section Chief of Exit-Entry Administration of the Suzhou municipal Public Security Bureau, explained how to obtain the Green Card, showing the generic case of an entrepreneur, living in China for 5 years and earning a high salary, as an example.

The seminar was concluded by an actively participated Q&A session, where the audience had the opportunity to clarify all its doubts.
