Post Event - StartIT.Asia 2019 – 11th-12th July, Guangzhou

CICC Guangzhou is glad to inform that the StartIT.Asia 2019 was successfully held on 11th – 12th July in Guangzhou. 

StartIT.Asia is an innovative program promoting international expansion of Italian high potential startups in China.

The 6 Italian finalists startups 1ClickFashion, ACBC, Artemest, Eligo, Qbit Technologies and Tarì Rural Design arrived on 11th at the Studio Twelve in Guangzhou where they presented their pitch to the Chinese Fashion and Retail Investors.

After the opening speech of the Manager of CICC Guangzhou Office, Ms. Romina Di Martino, the Deputy Consul of Italy in Guangzhou, Ms. Alice Rubini, has made a brief welcoming speech to the guests. Then, the representative of Intesa San Paolo, Mr. Vittorio Oliva has made a brief introduction of the IDTWG, the Innovation Disruptive Technology Working Group of CICC.

The afternoon was dedicated to the presentation of the 6 startups to the Chinese audience: the start-uppers pitched their companies in a very short time, focusing on catching the attention of potential partners, by sharing informative introduction and impressive videos.The pitch session was followed by a very intense b2b meeting.

1ClickFashion, is a system that allow every small retailer to start selling online in an easy, fast, smart way thanks to an innovative patent pending device, which also allow to improve customers shopping experience by combining online and offline benefits exploiting a series of add-ons and devices chosen by the retailer. ACBC, which redefined the footwear market with an innovative technology that creates a modular, customizable shoe that’s perfect for the forward minded person. (http://www.acbc.com/)

Artemest, was founded to celebrate and preserve Italian craftsmanship, and is the leading online marketplace for contemporary luxury design products. (https://artemest.com/)

Eligo, is the first Community of Sartorialist, whose mission is to spread Italian elegance and style throughout the world. (https://eligomilano.com/)

Qbit Technologies, is a Palo Alto boutique startup founded in 2014, specialized in the development of Virtual and Augmented Reality solutions for enterprises. (https://qbittech.com/)

Tarì Rural Design, a project combines the uniqueness and exclusivity of the product with a strong message of sustainability, ranging from respect for the environment to the promotion of a new-found ethical conscience (https://www.tariruraldesign.com/)

On the 12th July, the Startups visited the VIP.COM Headquarters in Guangzhou, where the representative of VIP.COM, Mr. Eric Chan, has made an introduction of the company. The Startups were interested in the development and current situation of e-commerce industry in China, especially in fashion and retail section, and have made a fruitful communication with the representative. After that, they visited the Headquarters.

  

The StartIT.Asia 2019 was organized by Hawksford, Retail in Asia, the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong and Macao, the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce, the Consulate General of Italy in Hong Kong, the Consulate General of Italy in Guangzhou, and powered by Intesa Sanpaolo and Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center.
