Post Event:2020 Chongqing Yuelai International Design Forum - 12/08

Dear Members and Friends of CICC,

 

The China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC) is pleased to announce that the 2020 Chongqing Yuelai International Design Forum hosted by Chongqing Economic and Information Technology Commission and Liangjiang New District Management Committee and undertaken by Chongqing Yuelai Investment Group was held on December 8, 2020 in Chongqing Yuelai International Conference Center.

 

 

Paolo Bazzoni, Chairman of the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC), attended the forum. “High-quality design and creativity are the two distinctive signs of Made in Italy. I believe that quality and innovation are the key drivers of sustainable development. I look forward to continuing to cooperate with Chinese companies in design culture. We will definitely work to find more business cooperation opportunities in Chongqing" Bazzoni said.

 

 

The Deputy Consul General of Italy in ChongqingDavide Castellani and the Counselor of Science and TechnologyLorenzo Gonzo, attended the event as representatives of the Italian institutions. 

The event was attended by many experts of the sector. Among them, Michele De Lucchi, a high-level figure in the Italian industrial design sector, winner of the Compasso d'Oro Award, architect, designer and AMDL founderMarco Tortoioli Ricci, Italian Association for Communication Design (AIAP) ChairmanLuca Fois, POLIDESIGN professor of Milan Polytechnic Institute of Design. Other three experts, who due to the epidemic situation could not attend the event in person, broadcasted video keynote speeches.

Moreover, Stefano Piontini, Chief Executive and creative director of the Asia-Pacific region of Italy VSP design firmRandall Foster Ewing, Vice-President of design for THINKWELL AsiaYang Mingjie, Founder and Design director of YANG DESIGN and Yang SheNikola Sretovich, senior industrial designer at Harman International/JBL and many other experts attended the lecture and participated in the round table discussion.

 

 

The content of the discussion was interesting and inspiring for all the participants, who discussed common issues such as how to create products that combine the designer’s point of view, the economic value and the aesthetics, as well as products that enhance social values.
