On June 27th, the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC) hosted a seminar on “Repositioning Production in China: Legal, Technological and Operational Tactics for Foreign-Invested Enterprises” at Wang Jing & GH Law Firm.

This event brought together industry experts, legal professionals, and IT specialists to share insights and practical advice on navigating the complexities of production relocation in China.

 

 

After the warm welcome remarks by Romina Di Martino, CICC South China Office Manager, the seminar officially kicked off and moved to its core agenda. 

 

 

The three distinguished speakers, each with profound expertise and rich experience in their respective fields, delivered in-depth and insightful presentations on the theme of production repositioning, offering a comprehensive and multi-dimensional exploration of the topic.

The presentations were as follows:

  • Handcho Yan, Director of Key Client Development at Plainvim International Industrial Park, presented an overview of Plainvim's strategic layout in the Greater Bay Area and Yangtze River Delta, highlighting the company's key development directions and investment focuses on these regions.
  • Franco Fornari, Senior Head of Department Foreign Legal Affairs & Director of Milano Office at Wang Jing & GH Law Firm, delivered a detailed overview of the legal considerations for production repositioning, providing practical legal advice and risk mitigation strategies for businesses undergoing this process.
  • Giacomo Nieri, Sales Manager at Exprivia IT Solutions (Shanghai), shared a comprehensive technological checklist for production repositioning, outlining the key technological factors and steps that need to be considered to ensure a smooth and efficient transition.

 

 

 

After the presentations, attendees engaged in a Q&A session, seeking clarification and exchanging ideas with the speakers. The event concluded with a networking opportunity, allowing participants to connect and explore potential collaborations.

 

 

The seminar provided valuable insights into the legal, technological, and operational considerations for foreign-invested enterprises looking to reposition their production in China.
