The International Business School Suzhou at XJTLU is inviting you to the seminar: "Growing Pains: Staff attraction, Retention and Turnover in China".

 

 

This seminar will provide the results of his research as well as giving a number of reasons for the turnover. It will also provide some suggestions to develop and retain staff within the organization and provide limited consultation for companies.

Cost: 300 RMB (cash payment at the seminar reception, invoice will be issued)

Norman Grant is a facilitator, coach, and corporate employee trainer serving multinational organizations in Japan, Korea and China. Among the companies he has worked with are Goldman Sachs, Wacker Chemicals, Germanishcher Lloyd, Fonterra, and Wiley-Blackwell. He has also conducted workshops at national universities in all 3 countries.

Professor Douglas Davies has been doing research in China for 8 years. Apart from general research into various HR practices within China, he has undertaken empirical research into retention and turnover of staff as well as skills deficits issues. Turnover can be voluntary or involuntary, with involuntary turnover not necessarily being caused by dismissal or staff redundancy. Whether this is due to structural, economic or other reasons, it will be discussed and explored in this brief seminar.
