We are pleased to invite you to a breakfast seminar on taxation. It will take place at the European Chamber on Wednesday, 27th November, 9:00 – 10:30, with registrations beginning at 8:30.

 

As system of countries part of ASEAN and strategically located near China, South East Asia is considered a new leading region in worldwide economic development. ASEAN fiscal systems have been reformed during the years in order to better align rules with the regional economic development. the seminar will introduce a general overview on south East Asian main economies and a tax and business comparison between China, Vietnam and other economies in East Asia.

 

During the seminar, the book “China Tax Law and International Treaties” by Lorenzo Riccardi will be presented. It provides an overview on the Chinese Tax System and updates on the new fiscal regulations.
The book is on sale online at Amazon.com and principal bookstores. During the seminar, some copies will be available for purchase.

Mr. Lorenzo Riccardi
Lorenzo Riccardi is a Tax Advisor and Certified Public Accountant specialized in international taxation. He is based in Shanghai, where he focuses on business and tax law, assisting foreign investments in East Asia. He is an auditor and an advisor for several corporate groups and he is partner and Head of Taxation of the consulting firm GWA, specializing in emerging markets. Lorenzo is a lecturer at Shanghai Jiao Tong University and a speaker at seminars and conventions on foreign investments in Asia. Being a columnist for Corriere Asia, Fiscalita’ Estera, Il Sole 24 Ore, China Law and Practice, he has published extensively regarding business and tax law in Asia. He is author of the following publications: China Tax Law and International Treaties, 2013 (Springer); Tax Guide of China, Vietnam and India, 2012 (Il Sole 24Ore); China Tax Code 2012 (LAP); Vietnam Double Taxation Agreements, 2013 (LAP).
