Triestespresso Expo 2010 – 5th Edition
The Number 1 biennial B2B exhibition in the theme of the espresso coffee industry. An event that brings together all aspects of the espresso coffee chain under one roof in an exhibition designed for international coffee industry professionals.
This important event will not take place in Trieste by chance. It is a city which boasts a superior culture in the coffee sector with the presence of numerous successful industries, more than 50 established businesses here, for example Illy, a unique integrated production chain officially recognised in the form of a District, research & development activities, experience and know how in the coffee sector.
It is a city characterised by a port which has been the main point of reference in Italy for the import of coffee beans into the whole of Europe for more than two centuries; an estimate of the transit figure for raw coffee (foreign country to foreign country, i.e. not imported into Italy) passing through the free zone of Trieste is around 2,000,000 sacks per year. Furthermore the New York Board of Trade (NYBOT) has recently included Trieste - only port in Italy - among the 5 approved delivery points for the Coffee "C" futures contract in Europe. Thousands of registered professional traders from 79 Countries attended the 4th edition and the number is destined to grow thanks also to the rich program of side events which will complete the Expo.
