“Un futuro per Amatrice” – Solidarity Project

The China-Italy Chamber of Commerce, in agreement with the Embassy of Italy, supports “Un futuro per Amatrice”, the initiative promoted by Terra Madre and Slow Food to collect donations for the Amatrice Municipality, so badly damaged by the earthquake of 24th August 2016.

Restaurants have already started confirming their participation to donations@cameraitacina.com. Deadline: Monday, 5th September.

The restaurant shall insert in their menu’ the signature dish of Amatrice, namely Bucatini alla Amatriciana, until November 24th 2016, indicating that they will donate 20 RMB from every ordered dish of Amatriciana (10 RMB offered by the restaurant, and 10 RMB by the customer). The restaurants joining the initiative shall display the promotional flyer.
 
The price of the Bucatini alla Amatriciana shall be in line with the price of the other pasta dishes on the restaurant menu, in order to guarantee the donation will be equally shared between the restaurant and the customer.

The transfer of the total amount of donations collected, based on the number of dishes sold, shall be made on 25th  November to the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce bank account (see below). The total amount will be officially announced to all the journalists and compatriots during ‘The first week of the Italian cuisine abroad in the world” (21st-27th November 2016).

The Embassy of Italy will then proceed to transfer the 100% of the funds to the Amatrice Municipality.

The list of the restaurants involved, will be published on www.cameraitacina.com on Tuesday, 6th September. The restaurants that will participate in the initiative will have to display the promotional flyer.
