Webinar: "AR and VR for remote assistance and training, trends and case studies" - 9th December 2020

Dear Members and Friends of CICC, The Innovation and Technology Working Group (I&TWG) of the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce is glad to inform you to that the Webinar: "AR and VR for remote assistance and training, trends and case studies" is going to be held via Zoom on 9 December, 5 to 6 PM China Time (CST) – 10 to 11 am Italy Time (CET). It’s almost a decade that we hear speaking about the impact of new technologies in our way of working and in what is called “human-augmentation”; about how our physical and mental abilities can be further enhanced through technological devices, as we have learned to do since the stone age.  Though, resistance to change and other dilemmas in the organization didn’t made that revolution happen since the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. As one element of remote working, many companies have accelerated to adapt the use of Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) to ensure business continuity and in order to supplement the impossibility or extreme complication for technical teams to travel in different global sites for installation of new production lines, upgrade of existing lines, or carrying out maintenance and assistance during the pandemic. Forced by the pandemic, many companies already realized that this is not just contingent but it will last as a new way of working that improves speed and efficiency while contribute to reduce companies’ carbon’s foot print. CCIC Innovation and Technology Working Group is glad to propose this seminar dedicated to this technological application into the daily business sharing the experience of different speakers. Rosanna Terminio, Managing Partner of AsecorpChina Business Consulting and PhD Candidate at Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC) on Automation and Work, will give a brief introduction of this new trend and explain the difference between AR and VR. Maria Santonastaso, China General Manager Dedalus China, will than moderate a session with Ivan D’Onghia, CTO Digital/Robotics, Danieli Tongchuang Information Technology and Cristian Sala, Cama Group Executive Sales Manager. The two speakers will share practical application of this technology explaining why their company chose to adopt it, how it benefited them and their customer by sharing success stories. The case studies cover several companies size so as to be beneficial to different CCIC members and will end with a Q&A session where the audience can interact with the companies through the guide of Maria Santonastaso. He oversees the business relationships with Italian Groups in Hong Kong and supports APAC-Italy cross border business and innovation developments, with a focus on the Greater Bay Area. He has been with Intesa Sanpaolo since 2000 and held several positions in USA and in Europe - including General Manager of the London Branch ex Sanpaolo IMI, General Manager of the Frankfurt Branch and Italian Head of Mid Corporate – Nord West – prior to being moved to the Intesa Sanpaolo’s APAC HQs.   Graduated in Economics and Master in Asian Studies, Rosanna Terminio is Managing Partner of AsecorpChina Business Consulting and PhD Candidate for UOC in Automation and Work. She has published a research paper in 2018 presented at Robo-Philosophy at University of Vienna titled “The impact of RAAI (Robotics Automation and Artificial Intelligence) in the working environment from the employee perspective, a scoping review”. The paper has been selected for the 3rd Conference on Economy and Enterprises by The Economists of Catalunya, Spain and included in the project “Digitalization and Work” financed by the Spanish Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness.  She has contributed to the book “The work we need: people and industry 4.0” published in Italy by Guerini e Associati.   Maria Santonastaso is General Manager of Dedalus China, a Beijing-based Italian company dedicated to Healthcare IT integrated solutions in the fields of Regional Healthcare, Hospital Integration and Business Intelligence. She is also coordinator of the CCIC Health Care Working Group. She holds a degree in Oriental Languages and Civilization from Ca’ Foscari, a Master Degree from Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna di Pisa and an Executive MBA from Hult International Business School. During her previous career she has been working for the Italian Embassy in Beijing and the United Nations.   Graduated in Computer Science Ivan d’Onghia started his activity at Danieli headquarter Italy in 2017 where, after some years as responsible for the Human–Machine interface systems, he was moved to the direction of the department for pipes mill and long products mathematical models and data analysis. From 2012 for Danieli he become Area Manager for electrical and automation solutions for the Russian Federation and CIS countries. From this year he is acting as CTO at DTI, company based in Beijing and focused on robotic and digital solution.     Cristian Sala joined Cama in 2015 as Executive Sales Manager. His role is to supervise all the sales activities leading the team of area managers based in the Head Quarter and in the six subsidiaries. Together with the Engineering Sales Manager he reports directly to the Managing Director. The Italian Week will debut in Shanghai - 13-20 November, program of activities

Dear Members and Friends,  The China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC) is organizing “The Italian Week: The Culture of Quality”, that will be held from November 13th till November 20th, in Shanghai.  The Italian Week will bring the best of ITALIAN QUALITY to Shanghai. It aims to offer to a Chinese and international audience an all-Italian experience, a journey through the excellences for which Italy enjoys a world record. Dear Members and Friends,  The China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC) is organizing “The Italian Week: The Culture of Quality”, that will be held from November 13th till November 20th, in Shanghai.  The Italian Week will bring the best of ITALIAN QUALITY to Shanghai. It aims to offer to a Chinese and international audience an all-Italian experience, a journey through the excellences for which Italy enjoys a world record. Participants will have a full immersion in the Italian culture of quality without ever needing to leave China.  Italian Opera, activities for kids, performances, fencing training with a special Catwalk, Workshops related to Tourism, Sport and Arts, Masterclass and Cooking Class, Wine tasting, and much more! China (Hebei) - Italy Industry Matchmaking Exchange Conference

Dear Members and Friends, The "China (Hebei) - Italy Industry Matchmaking Exchange Conference" will be opened in Shijiazhuang on November 11. The conference will be held both online and offline, giving the opportunity to companies to connect remotely. The online event will be broadcasted live through Zoom platform (international version), and Chinese and foreign enterprises will have one-on-one discussion through Zoom negotiation room. The online "one-to-one" negotiation will take 1-2 rounds, each round lasting about 15 minutes. In addition, there will also be an online signing ceremony for four projects between Hebei Province and Italy. The event will be organized by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Hebei Council (CCPIT Hebei) incooperation with the Chamber of International Commerce Hebei Chamber of Commerce (CCICC), and the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC), with the support of the Hebei Development and Reform Commission; Industry and Information Technology Department of Hebei Province; EUSME, & Danish Chamber of Commerce in China.
