  CICC is organizing the 2014 Area Meeting of Italian Chambers of Commerce in Asia, UAE and South Africa. The Meeting will be held in Beijing, on April 3rd-6th. Key appointment for the Chambers, summoned every year in a different Country within the Asia-UAE-South Africa region, the Meeting is attended by Chairmen and Secretaries General of Italian Chambers of Commerce Abroad, representatives of Assocamerestero and Italian Ministry of Economic Development as well as local Italian institutions. The three-day event combines open and closed-door working sessions: the former providing a platform to network with representatives of the Italian business community in the Asia-UAE-South Africa region; the latter, Chambers with an opportunity to brainstorm about joint projects and share best practices. This year the Meeting kicks off with the open seminar More Italy in Asia: Italian Investments’ outlook for the 2014 and best practices amongst Chambers’ Members which will be held on Friday April 4th from 9 am to 1 pm at the Auditorium of the Italian Institute of Culture (Embassy of Italy in Beijing).     The EU SME Centre and the Center for International Economic and Technological Cooperation (CIETC) of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) of China will jointly organise a free matchmaking session for European SMEs and Chinese companies on March 5 2014 to facilitate sustainable, win-win cooperation. A maximum of four meetings each will be organised for companies in the following industries:   Cloud computing; Mobile computing / applications; E-commerce; E-government; Smart technologies. The matchmaking is also open to representatives from European chambers of commerce and trade promotion agencies in search of business partners for their members.     The matchmaking is taking place in the framework of Cloud China 2014, an exhibition focussing on the promotion of cloud computing,the optimisation of the IT environment and the development of smart cities in China.
