The Intellectual Property Working Group (IPWG) of the CICC is glad to invite you to the online workshop “IP Management and Patent Litigation Strategies in China”, on March 23rd 2022. During this session, Pirelli's Head of IP - Patents and Know-How will discuss with our experts how to formulate best practices of IP management and to prepare for patent litigation in China’s evolving regulatory framework, business environment and policies. The workshop will focus on the protection of new technology, innovation and R&D management strategies. We will discuss how is Pirelli managing its trademark, patent and know - how portfolio in China. Our IP Working Group experts will then provide practical suggestions on how to prepare for (and what to expect when embarking in) know-how and patent litigations in China.   Having a comprehensive IP protection strategy is key to stay competitive in the China Market. After a short experience in IBM, he joined the IP Function of Pirelli in 1997 and has held positions of increasing responsibilities in the field of Intellectual Property and Patents to cover, most recently, the role of Head of IP – Patents and Know How of Pirelli. He is also President of AICIPI, the Italian Association of In-House IP Experts and Professionals.   Fabio Giacopello - Partner and Foreign Lawyer at HFG Law & Intellectual Co. Ltd  Fabio Giacopello is senior partner at HFG Law & Intellectual Property. He’s been widely recognized as one of the most valuable intellectual property practitioners in China. Fabio has substantive experience in trademark portfolio management, trademark disputes and litigations and enforcement, anti-counterfeiting, technology transfer, patent and trade secret litigations, arbitrations, commercial and corporate transactions. Among others recognitions, Fabio has been nominated “Recommended lawyer” by Legal500, “Winner of Client Choice Award – Trademarks (China)” by ILO, “IP Star” by Managing Intellectual Property, “Notable practitioner” by Chamber and Partners, “Leading practitioner” by WIPR, “Expert in the trademark category” by Asia IP.   Eric Chen - Attorney at Law, Patent Attorney and Head of Litigators at SPTL Mr. Shenjun (Eric) CHEN is Head of SPTL’s Litigator Team and a licensed Patent Attorney and lawyer. He has 20 years of experience in litigation and non-litigation legal matters on behalf of international clients and local Chinese clients, which cover patents, trademarks, copyrights and unfair competition, trade/technology secrets etc. He is now a member of All China Patent Attorneys Association (ACPAA) and China Bar Association, along with Competition and Anti-Trust Law Study Committee in Shanghai Bar Association.
