Through Waters – Art & Water keeping desert at bay

11 May 2012

Dear Members, dear Friends,

The China-Italy Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce its support for the “Through Waters – Art & Water keeping desert at bay” a photograph exhibition highlighting the cultural value of water which will run at the Italian Institute of Culture in Beijing on 14-28 September 2012, under the auspices of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in China.

Through Waters Project will showcase photographs and installations focusing on the function of water as a bridge-maker between cultures and its symbolic potential.

Through the camera eye and the reflex of water the exhibition aims at highlighting the need for a renewed dialogue between people and cultures having at heart the preservation of natural resources for a sustainable development.
A catalogue of the exhibition will be printed with its sale proceedings directed to a project organized by the Italian no-profit organization Roma Capitale Mondiale per l’Acqua aimed at raising awareness about access to water resources and their conservation.

The Italian Chamber of Commerce in China while sharing the belief that the commitment to safeguarding water - possibly our most precious natural resource - is of a paramount importance is pleased to facilitate the organizers' campaign for sponsoring proposals.

Associate members potentially interested in offering a sponsorship may refer to the Project Manager Mrs. Christina Sassayannis at: throughwaters2012@gmail.com or 0086 13810356423.

Sincerely,

CICC
